Presenting more than 2200 performing arts shows and events each year, The Kennedy Center in Washington DC is home to the DC Senior Contest. This annual event is held to select the District's woman aged 60 and older who will represent the District of Columbia as Mrs. Senior from DC. The contestants compete for the title in four categories and are judged on their elegance, poise and style during the interview, the philosophy of life and the presentations of evening gowns.
The winner will be crowned Mrs. Senior from DC all year round and represents the District in the Ms. Senior America Pageant. However, he argued that this is not the only way, much less the most efficient, of guaranteeing peace.
